Meet Kathy Betters

I have had a passion for photography since I got my first camera when I was 10. It was a small 110 color film "instamatic" camera with auto focus and built in flash. These small but handy cameras were only good for snapshots as the prints could not be enlarged without becoming quite fuzzy. But none the less, it was a great tool to help develop my love for creative photography.

In college I was able to dabble a bit more into photography and experiment with black and white 35mm film and learned the technique of film development as well. I was employed as a graphic designer through the university and had the chance to do some photography work for the campus publications office. While these photos weren't sold, they were published in campus recruitment publications.

The year 2002 saw me getting my first digital camera. Finally you didn't have to pay for all those failed attempts when getting film developed! Now I could take as many pictures and delete what didn't work, which was quite handy while my children were growing up!

I have been doing professional photography since 2018 and loving every minute of it! I love working with my clients to capture that perfect look while making them feel comfortable. I know not everyone likes to have their picture taken and it can make some feel uncomfortable. My goal is to help you get exactly what you are looking for in a professional but relaxed environment.
